Yes, it has been a while since I last posted...
I've been suffering from severe pains for many years now. Finally, doctors decided it was time to perform an exploratory surgery. During this surgery I was actually diagnosed with a severe case of endometriosis. I had heard a little about this disease before, how uterine tissue begins to grow all over the reproductive parts like a cancer, but I didn't know all the facts.
I didn't realize that it is the leading cause of infertility, or that it usually takes an average of nine years of living with the crippling pain it presents before a woman is finally diagnosed. I was lucky, it only took six years in my case. Even so, there is no definitive cure to endometriosis, I am currently in remission and will hopefully remain in remission for the rest of my life.
You can learn more about this disease by visiting the following links:

Women with endometriosis are often misunderstood since there is so much ignorance about this disease, if I can help at least one person understand this disease better it would mean ever so much to me.

525,600 Minutes...
I've done it.
I've survived another year, a whole five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. There's been laughter and tears, success and disappointment. I learned a lot about myself in the past year.
- Learned how to tell when it's time to let go.
- Found out how to love all over again.
- Learned who my real friends were.
- Realized I was happy living as a Fruit Loop in a world full of Cheerios.
It's been an enlightening, if sometimes painful and strange, experience and I'm pretty sure this new year is going to be the same.
To all of you who have survived 2009... I raise my glass to you, let's all meet 2010 head on.
